Vivo is rumored to be developing a wide foldable smartphone with an inner screen under 6.5 inches, potentially launching in 2027. Tipster Digital Chat Station claims the majority of hardware components have been finalized. This would position Vivo's device as more compact compared to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8, which features a 7.6-inch inner display.
Vivo is seemingly the only major OEM pursuing a smaller inner screen for its wide foldable, distinguishing its approach from competitors like Honor and OPPO, who are rumored to feature 7.6-inch internal displays. While details remain scarce, the rumor suggests Vivo is seeking a 2027 release date, aiming to offer a unique form factor in the growing foldable market.
