Google's I/O 2026 keynote dropped a wave of Workspace updates, headlined by Gemini Spark, a new personal AI agent that can write emails, add calendar events, and complete tasks across apps. Voice-powered features are coming to Gmail, Docs, and Keep, letting users talk to AI instead of typing. Voice capabilities roll out for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers this summer, with Workspace Business users getting preview access.

Gmail Live lets users query their inbox by voice—asking for a flight gate number or surfacing important emails. Docs Live listens to spoken thoughts and organizes them into structured documents, pulling context from Gmail, Drive, Chat, and web searches. Keep turns rambling voice notes into tidy lists in the background. Google Pics also launched today for Trusted Testers, arriving later this summer for Pro and Ultra subscribers.

AI Inbox is rolling out now for Google AI Pro and Ultra users in the U.S., adding personalized draft suggestions for time-sensitive emails. The feature can auto-generate contextual responses and link directly to attached files. Users can mark tasks complete, dismiss suggestions, or group emails by topic. Google Pics integrates with Slides and Docs, letting users edit AI images with the same tools found in the standalone app.
