DIRECTV has rolled out its streaming app on Meta Quest, letting users watch more than 150 live channels right inside VR headsets. The move brings traditional television into the immersive space, offering live sports, news and on‑demand movies.

Available on Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S and Quest Pro via the Meta Horizon Store, the app supports free streaming through the MyFree tier and paid bundles for sports or movie lovers. A highlighted feature is the ability to subscribe to existing channel packages directly from the headset.

The launch comes as Meta has raised prices for its Quest 3S to $350 and Quest 3 to $600 in the U.S., signalling a push toward higher‑end VR experiences. For consumers, this means more content choices without leaving the headset, potentially redefining how live TV is consumed.

With Disney Plus and Prime Video already on Quest, DIRECTV becomes the first live‑TV provider to join the platform, expanding the ecosystem and offering a new way to catch live events.
