DIRECTV has expanded its Sports Central feature beyond TV to iOS devices with a major app update. The live sports hub, previously available only on DIRECTV set-top boxes, now lets iPhone and iPad users access game schedules, team information, and streaming options through the mobile app.

Sports Central on mobile offers six core features: finding live games across DIRECTV channels, browsing upcoming schedules, exploring league and team pages, recording games, favoriting teams, and accessing streaming services like YouTube, Prime Video, ESPN Select, and Peacock. The update requires a simple App Store download and update.

This expansion follows DIRECTV's recent announcement of new multiview March Madness Mix configurations for watching multiple games simultaneously. The company is also running a promotion through April 23 offering its Sports Pack free for one month with the CHOICE package at $59.99/month, making the mobile Sports Central feature part of a broader strategy to enhance sports viewing across platforms.
