WhatsApp is expanding its web platform with the introduction of one-on-one and group audio and video calls. This feature, which began a trial phase for beta testers last month, is now rolling out gradually to all users.

WhatsApp Web users can now make and receive calls directly from their browser, mirroring the functionality available on the mobile app. A significant new addition is call transfer, enabling users to seamlessly switch ongoing calls between devices and the web without interruption.

The platform also introduces a "waiting room" feature for group calls, allowing hosts to manage participant entry. For improved quality, WhatsApp has enhanced "Quick HD," aiming for immediate high-definition video at the start of calls. These updates aim to enhance the calling experience on WhatsApp Web.
