Waze is rolling out new AI‑driven features across iPhone and Android.

The first feature leverages your journey history to understand routing preferences, offering personalized routes before standard ones. If you favor highways over local streets, those paths appear first.

Next, Gemini‑powered chat lets you locate destinations with conversational questions like “Find me a coffee shop open now” or “Lowest gas prices.” The response lists options, and you can start navigation using voice.

Conversational reporting expands to permanent changes such as road closures. Simply say “The road is closed here” and Waze forwards the note to local editors for verification. For drivers who prefer fewer interruptions, a “less chatty” mode trims voice prompts, keeping only critical warnings.

Finally, Waze introduces AI‑powered motorcycle navigation, offering two‑wheel‑specific shortcuts and hazards. This mode is initially live in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, and the Philippines, not yet in the US. The company plans to extend these features globally as the AI models mature.
