Apple today released the first public betas of tvOS 27 and watchOS 27, along with HomePod Software 27, giving users a chance to test the new software ahead of its fall launch. The public betas match the third developer betas released last week and can be installed via Apple's beta testing program.

watchOS 27 introduces Siri AI integration, allowing Apple Watch users to access Siri from their wrist with a paired iPhone. A dedicated Siri app appears prominently in the new dynamic app grid accessed via the Digital Crown. Other additions include a new gesture for Smart Stack widget selection, Smart Stack suggestions for parked car location, transit cards, and birthday reminders, plus Workout Buddy functioning without an iPhone nearby and improved treadmill distance tracking.

Apple also added a unified Find My app with Precision Finding support. tvOS 27 brings a redesigned Podcasts app, Hi-Res Lossless audio and Auto Mix song transitions in Apple Music, easier profile switching, and performance improvements for faster app launches and quicker AirPlay connections.
