SYBO Games announced its long-awaited sequel, Subway Surfers City, will launch on iOS next month. The developer claims the original is the world's most downloaded mobile game, with over 4.5 billion lifetime downloads and 100-150 million monthly players. The new title arrives on February 26 and is now available for pre-save on the App Store.

Subway Surfers City introduces fresh gameplay mechanics like a stomp move and a bouncy bubblegum shield. For the first time, players can unlock three new game modes: Classic Endless, City Tour, and Events. The original game remains a staple in the mobile market, and its Apple Arcade version, Subway Surfers+, is still available for subscribers.

This sequel follows years of consistent updates to the original, which has maintained a massive player base since its 2012 debut. The launch strategy, timed for late February, aims to capture the post-holiday mobile gaming audience.
