Apple Watch Series 5 reintroduces ceramic as a case material option, marking the return of the Apple Watch Edition collection after its absence from Series 4. The white ceramic finish mirrors earlier Series 2 and Series 3 models, though gray ceramic is unavailable. Both ceramic and titanium models belong to the Edition lineup, now featuring fewer packaging perks than previous generations. Included in the box is a Sport band alongside the chosen purchase band, but the Magnetic Charging Dock and material creation book are no longer bundled—available separately for $79.

The redesigned Apple Watch Series 5 ceramic Edition differs visually from Series 3 versions. The back cover is entirely ceramic, contrasting sharply with the dark optical heart rate sensor. The Digital Crown features a subtle black cap with a red accent ring, incorporating the electrical heart sensor needed for the ECG app.

Apple Watch Edition ceramic comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes, priced from $1,299 to $1,749 depending on band selection. Other case materials start at $399. New Sport Loop colors debut alongside Series 5, including two-tone options like Anchor Gray. The ceramic Edition retains its exclusive Sport band with a ceramic pin, now available in Soft White in addition to the original Cloud color.
