Spotify has rolled out Playlist Notes, expanding its User Notes feature to allow users to add context to podcast episodes and audiobooks in playlists, alongside individual tracks. Initially announced last month, User Notes let users append 240-character notes to songs, but the new Playlist Notes extend this functionality to podcasts and audiobooks. Editors will also use Playlist Notes to explain the cultural relevance or significance of tracks and playlists.

Users can access Editor Profiles to explore the people behind curated playlists, including their top tracks and playlists. To add a note, users open a playlist, tap the three dots next to a track, podcast, or audiobook, select Add note, and save their input. Playlist Notes are rolling out on iOS and Android in over 100 markets globally, with Editor Notes available to users aged 16+ in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
