Spotify is rolling out a new feature called "User Notes," allowing users to add short, 240-character notes to individual tracks on their playlists. The aim is to enhance personalization and provide context to the music listeners enjoy, creating a narrative around their favorite songs and the moments associated with them.

These notes will be visible to anyone with access to the user's playlist. The feature is being rolled out in select markets to both free and Premium users aged 16 and older. To add a note, users can tap the ellipsis next to a track and select "Add note." The notes will appear below the song in the playlist, similar to a social media post.

"User Notes" can be added to playlists created by the user or those they have contributed to. This feature was announced alongside "Running Mode," a new workout function that creates personalized playlists based on running goals, music preferences, and pace.
