Siri AI: Which Apple Devices Will Get It?

Apple's significant Siri AI upgrade, launching this fall with iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia, will be exclusive to newer devices. This overhaul promises a more intelligent and capable Siri, but not all Apple hardware will support it.

The list of compatible devices includes the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, and newer iPad models with M1 chips or later. Macs with Apple silicon (M1 chip and later) and the Apple Vision Pro will also gain support. For Apple Watch users, compatibility depends on being paired with an AI-supported iPhone, though specific models like the Series 9 and later are mentioned.

Certain advanced features, such as voice customization, will be further restricted to high-end devices like the iPhone 17 Pro models, specific iPad and Mac configurations with M3 chips or later and at least 12GB of unified memory, and the Apple Vision Pro. Apple's most advanced on-device AI model will also be limited to this newer hardware, though its specific impact on Siri remains unclear.
