Philips Hue launched SpatialAware, a mode designed to create a more natural lighting environment. This feature scans your room to distribute light scenes intelligently. Such immersive lighting requires remastering existing scenes. The update targets the latest Hue app for iPhone and iPad, marking a significant evolution for a system long recognized as one of the best Apple Home integrations available.

SpatialAware requires the Philips Hue Bridge Pro to function, scanning a room in under ten minutes. The firmware update also enhances Hue video doorbells, enabling simulated video calls and pre-recorded responses for unreachable users. Lighting scenes must be updated to support the new mode, with half already optimized.

The technology works with phones both with and without LiDAR sensors, broadening device compatibility. Users access features by updating their app. The Philips Hue Bridge Pro is sold as a standalone unit or in bundles with smart lights. This integration reinforces the product's utility within the Apple ecosystem, delivering enhanced control and automation for discerning users.
