John Hancock’s Vitality Plus program now lets life‑insurance customers earn an Apple Watch Series 11 or Apple Watch Ultra 3 with regular exercise. Members start with a $25 down payment and then pay the rest over 24 months. The more activity points they rack up, the lower the monthly bill—zero points cost $15.50 a month, while 500 points wipe the fee entirely.

Points come from “Standard” workouts (10,000 steps, active calories, 30‑minute heart‑rate zone) worth 20 points a day, or “Advanced” workouts (15,000 steps, 45‑minute heart‑rate zone) worth 30 points. The program requires a Vitality Health Review and a $25 initial payment, with optional extra fees for higher‑end watches. Only Vitality Plus members can sign up, and the offer is part of a broader trend of insurers rewarding healthy habits with perks.

As the new year’s resolution wave peaks, the deal could entice fitness‑focused policyholders to upgrade their gear while keeping premiums low. The initiative aligns with insurers’ growing focus on wellness incentives, potentially lowering claim costs while boosting customer loyalty.
