iPhone 18 Pro Price May Hit $1,399

The upcoming iPhone 18 Pro may see a significant price increase, with a new report predicting a starting price around $1,399. This follows an earlier prediction from The Wall Street Journal and is attributed to rising component costs.

Analyst Jeff Pu corroborates these expectations, forecasting a $250-300 price hike for both the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models. This would place the iPhone 18 Pro starting at $1,349-1,399 and the Pro Max at $1,449-1,499.

The increased costs are linked to the new A20 Pro chip, LPDDR5X memory, and NAND storage, with the latter two components expected to cost Apple approximately triple what they did last year. While Apple could absorb these costs to maintain lower prices, recent price hikes on other products suggest this is unlikely.
