Apple released iOS 27 beta 6 for developers, extending its summer cycle before the September public launch. Install via Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates on eligible iPhones. Beta 6 is slated to become public beta 4; expect bugs, battery drain, and app hiccups.

The highlight is Siri AI, rebuilt with Apple Intelligence and new Foundation Models. It delivers richer conversations, personal context, broader world knowledge, on‑screen awareness, and deeper app actions. It now ties to Dynamic Island and a dedicated Siri app for cross‑device conversation history. Visual Intelligence adds a camera mode and improved control.

Apple Intelligence extends to Photos, Safari, Passwords, Mail, Messages, Phone, Shortcuts, Home, and more, using on‑device or Private Cloud Compute. iOS 27 also refines Liquid Glass, adds a transparency slider, and boosts performance for app launch, Photos, Camera in Low Power Mode, AirDrop, and Wi‑Fi‑to‑cellular transitions.
