This functionality addresses a common frustration, particularly on platforms like Instagram where hyperlinks aren't permitted in captions or replies. Users frequently encounter either "Link in profile" instructions or unclickable URLs that require manual typing. With iOS 26, simply taking a screenshot of a URL now displays a clickable link at the bottom of the screen, accessible with a single tap.

The feature requires an AI-compatible iPhone, including the iPhone 17, iPhone 16, or iPhone 15 Pro models. By default, screenshots open directly to a fullscreen interface showing the tappable link.
