Apple's visual accessibility performance declined in 2025 according to the AppleVis Report Card, which surveys users who are blind, DeafBlind, or have low vision. The company's cumulative rating fell 0.2 points to 3.7 out of 5, marking a noticeable setback in its accessibility efforts.

Liquid Glass design changes drew particular criticism from low vision users, who reported significant usability problems with the new interface. Meanwhile, VoiceOver and braille users expressed frustration with persistent software bugs that have remained unresolved for years. The report highlights a growing disconnect between Apple's design ambitions and practical accessibility needs.

Despite the overall decline, three categories showed modest improvements: iPadOS Braille User Experience, tvOS Low Vision User Experience, and macOS Braille User Experience each gained 0.1 points. VoiceOver continued to receive praise as a best-in-class screen reader, with users calling it "a first-class feature on every device." The findings suggest Apple needs to balance aesthetic updates with maintaining reliable accessibility features that users depend on daily.
