Apple's Liquid Glass Tweaks Underwhelm

Apple's latest macOS iteration introduces minimal changes to its controversial Liquid Glass design. Despite vocal criticism from a minority of users, the company remains committed to the design language. A new transparency slider allows users to adjust the effect's intensity, but the difference between maximum and minimum settings is barely perceptible to most eyes.

The transparency slider appears in System Settings across all Apple devices but requires deliberate discovery. Apple also addressed complaints about inconsistent window corners in the previous version, now applying uniform radius to all windows including third-party applications. The sidebar in Finder windows has been extended to the edge for a flatter appearance.

These modifications represent Apple's attempt to balance user feedback with design continuity. While the changes are improvements, they fall far short of addressing the core criticism that Liquid Glass lacks the refinement expected from Apple's design standards. For the enormous majority of users who either liked the design or didn't notice it, these tweaks make little practical difference in daily use.
