Apple has officially unveiled the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 at its latest event. Both models feature a familiar design but introduce a significantly upgraded health tracking system. The new heart rate monitor samples data every five seconds, a 60x increase over previous models, and also measures HRV every five minutes.

Apple claims this is the most accurate heart rate sensor ever in a wearable. A new Readiness feature combines activity, vitals, and sleep data to offer daily wellness insights. Additionally, Audio Intelligence brings sound recognition, such as doorbell alerts, and a 'live rewind' function that transcribes the last 15 seconds of audio.

Users can activate this by double-clicking the Digital Crown, which previously handled multitasking. Siri Recaps can now summarize meetings from audio notes, and a new Siri Modular watch face is included. Both watches run on the new S11 chip with A20 Pro-derived CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine.

Colors include space gray, black, light gold, and bronze aluminum, with ceramic shield 2 protecting the front. The Ultra 4 offers larger battery life exceeding two days, and comes in black, natural titanium, and a new titanium band option. Pre-orders start today, with launch on September 18.

Pricing remains unchanged: Series 12 from $399 and Ultra 4 from $799.
