Apple Watch Series 12 launches next week at the September event alongside Apple Watch Ultra 4. Three key features are rumored for the new model.

First, a new S-class chip — likely named S12 or S11 — will debut as the first Watch chip of the AI era. It will be more powerful and faster, optimized for Siri AI in watchOS 27, with benefits for everyday features.

Second, health upgrades include an always-on heart rate sensor that continuously collects data throughout the day, matching competitors like WHOOP. Per Mark Gurman, the sensor works beyond intense activity intervals. The FDA reportedly reviewed upgraded hypertension notifications expected to debut next week.

Third, a Ceramic case option returns for the first time since Series 5 in 2019, offered in white and dark gray. Per Bloomberg, Apple tested both configurations. The last Ceramic model started at $1,299, far above current Ultra pricing.
