Adobe has launched Acrobat Student Spaces in beta, a free AI-powered platform designed to compete with Google's NotebookLM. The tool generates study guides, mind maps, podcasts, and other learning content from class notes and uploaded materials, offering students multiple ways to engage with coursework.

Developed with input from hundreds of student beta testers and university partnerships including Berkeley, Harvard, and Brown, the platform features an AI tutor that provides 24/7 assistance with interactive citations. Students can convert notes into audio summaries for studying on the go, collaborate with classmates in shared spaces, and create presentations using visual tools like mind maps and image-based slides.

Acrobat Student Spaces includes focus mode for solo study and real-time collaboration features for group projects. The platform supports different learning styles through visual tools for creating mind maps and presentations, and auditory features for generating podcasts and audio summaries. Adobe's VP of Education and Document Cloud, Charlie Miller, emphasized the company's commitment to ongoing development based on student feedback, positioning the tool as a comprehensive solution for modern student needs.
