Adobe has announced the general availability of its Firefly AI audio generation tools, including Generate Music, Generate Speech, and Generate Sound Effects. These tools allow users to create fully licensed tracks, voiceovers, and sound effects directly within the Firefly platform. A recent Adobe survey conducted with Berklee College of Music found that 100% of video creators use music in their content, with 32.7% already using AI-generated music. The main barriers to adoption were legal and copyright risks (43.2%) and licensing costs (38.9%). Generate Music can analyze video content and produce editable, royalty-free tracks that match the video's length and mood. Users can adjust parameters like tempo, energy, and duration before generating four musical options. Generate Speech converts scripts into natural-sounding voiceovers using Adobe's Firefly speech model or Eleven Labs. Generate Sound Effects creates custom audio based on text prompts or recorded references. All tools are designed to integrate seamlessly into existing creative workflows and are available on Adobe Firefly's desktop and mobile web applications without requiring additional subscriptions for commercial use.

Adobe also expanded its third-party AI model offerings by adding Gemini Omni Flash to Firefly, enabling users to prompt with video, audio, and image inputs alongside text. This follows recent additions of Runway Aleph 2.0 and Kling 2.0 to Firefly's model ecosystem, which already includes models from Google, Luma AI, OpenAI, and others.

The audio tools aim to streamline content creation workflows for social media, live streaming, short films, tutorials, and podcast production.
