WhatsApp Web and Windows app users can now view, review, and annotate PDFs directly within chats, thanks to a new integration with Adobe Acrobat. Previously, users had to download PDFs to open them, lacking any built-in editing capabilities.

This new feature allows for seamless interaction with documents, including password-protected files, while maintaining WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption for chat security. Adobe states this integration aligns with its strategy to bring Acrobat tools to platforms where users already work, recognizing the increasing use of WhatsApp for tasks like reviewing contracts and invoices on larger screens.

The integration extends Adobe's reach beyond its own ecosystem, following similar partnerships with platforms like Chrome, Microsoft 360, and ChatGPT.
