Chinese tech giant Xiaomi unveiled its Vision Gran Turismo electric hypercar concept at Mobile World Congress 2026, marking the company's first major entry into automotive design. The full-scale model showcases a revolutionary approach where air passes through the bodywork rather than around it, optimizing efficiency for electric performance.

The design team focused on managing airflow through sculpted ducts within the bodywork, creating a teardrop cockpit silhouette. Air enters through the front and exits at the rear along carefully defined pathways, while the wheels feature Accretion Rims with vortex-shaped covers that reduce drag and cool brakes through turbine fins.

A magnetic system creates a floating visual effect as the outer wheel cover remains stationary during rotation. The Vision Gran Turismo concept will initially launch within the Gran Turismo video game, allowing players to experience Xiaomi's vision of future electric hypercars in the virtual world.
