After months of speculation, a reliable industry leaker suggests Bethesda's Starfield may finally make its way to PlayStation 5. The French outlet Dealabs reports the Xbox-exclusive space RPG will launch on April 7, 2026, extending Microsoft's multiplatform strategy that has seen several first-party games expand beyond Xbox consoles.

The leak indicates Starfield will arrive in two editions: Standard at £44.99/€49.99 and Premium at £59.99/€69.99. Unlike the original release, the PS5 version won't offer early access. Microsoft reportedly plans pre-orders between March 17-18, though the leaker notes their source has "not always been reliable in the past."

Starfield originally launched in 2023 to strong reviews but remained Xbox-exclusive. Former Xbox boss Phil Spencer previously didn't rule out a PlayStation release. The multiplatform push follows Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda and signals a strategic shift for Xbox, as the company seeks broader market reach beyond its console ecosystem.
