The Ram Restaurant & Brewhouse in Meridian will serve its final beers Friday after more than two decades in business. The family-owned chain's 6,456-square-foot building and 1.45-acre property off Eagle Road were listed last year for $3,995,000, signaling the closure was likely planned. The Treasure Valley location's 4-star Google rating and community ties couldn't prevent the shutdown.

Known as both a sports hangout and craft beer destination, The Ram attracted families, football fans, and beer enthusiasts since opening in January 2005. Its Boise sister location remains open as part of the regional chain headquartered in Lakewood, Washington. The company operates seven locations in Washington and two in Oregon alongside the two Idaho restaurants.

Social media responses revealed deep community connections, with former employees calling it their "best job" and longtime customers expressing heartbreak. The closure eliminates a local gathering spot that supported schools and hosted community events. The Meridian location's final hours are noon to 8 p.m. through Friday for those wanting one last burger and brew.
