Federal authorities joined Cincinnati police in searching for a suspect after a weekend shooting at Riverfront Live nightclub wounded nine people. The victims, hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, were all in stable condition after gunfire erupted around 1 a.m. Sunday. The FBI is collaborating with local law enforcement, while the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Though the shooting occurred simultaneously with a deadly bar incident in Austin, Texas, being investigated as potential terrorism, Ohio authorities have not identified a motive. ATF spokesperson Bill Halusek confirmed the Cincinnati shooting is not suspected to be an act of terrorism. Witness Anton Canady described hearing "commotion" followed by gunshots while music continued playing.

Canady and his girlfriend Brandi Willis fled the venue, with Canady protecting her from being trampled. He later discovered his cousin was among those shot. The nightclub, formerly known as Annie's rock club and rebranded in 2018 after criminal activity concerns, was hosting a birthday celebration by DJ Fresh when the violence occurred. The venue's owners were responsible for security under the rental agreement.
