Pittsburgh-based Everest Infrastructure Partners is acquiring 214 wireless communications towers from ATN International for up to $297 million in an all-cash transaction. The towers, located in the southwestern United States, represent a significant expansion of Everest's portfolio in the competitive wireless infrastructure market.

The deal, announced by ATN (NASDAQ:ATNI), a Beverly, Massachusetts-based telecommunications company, is expected to close by mid-year. ATN plans to use the proceeds to pay down debt, invest in existing operations, and pursue select growth opportunities. This transaction reflects ongoing consolidation in the wireless tower sector as companies optimize their asset portfolios.

Founded in 2015 and based at Nova Place on Pittsburgh's North Side, Everest owns and markets thousands of wireless communications towers, rooftop locations, tower ground leases, and indoor wireless systems. The privately owned firm provides infrastructure to every major network operator in the U.S. and has expanded internationally to Australia, New Zealand, and Portugal over the past five years.
