Italy’s Prysmian is in advanced talks to acquire electrical manufacturing company Atkore Inc., people familiar with the matter said.

The potential takeover represents a significant strategic move in the electrical infrastructure sector, with both companies positioned to benefit from growing demand for power transmission solutions.

Atkore, a US-based electrical manufacturer, has established itself as a key supplier in North American markets. The acquisition would expand Prysmian's presence in the region and strengthen its portfolio of cable and systems.
