A violent shooting unfolded Saturday afternoon outside a Chipotle restaurant in downtown Houston, leaving Curtis Moore, the son of a Harris County Sheriff's Office sergeant, with as many as nine gunshot wounds. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Texas Avenue near Main Street, a busy area close to the historic Rice Hotel.

Police say the suspect, Nicholas Youngblood, 21, had been selling cookies on the sidewalk before the confrontation escalated. Video footage shows Moore arriving on a bicycle when a verbal exchange erupted, followed by Youngblood, dressed in pink, allegedly firing multiple shots. Youngblood has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a charge that could be upgraded if Moore succumbs to his injuries.
