Consumer Reports' annual roundup of least favorite vehicles reveals some surprising disappointments from major automakers. The Tesla Cybertruck topped the list of irritants, with testers citing frustrating steering and parking difficulties that made them avoid weekend duty. John Ibbitson, CR's auto testing manager, said he felt irritated before even leaving the parking lot.

Toyota's redesigned 4Runner also fell short of expectations, scoring the same road test marks as its 2010 predecessor despite a complete overhaul. Testers complained about loud turbo engines, bumpy transmissions, and vibrations through the steering wheel. Michael Monticello called it disappointing rather than terrible, while others noted the lack of meaningful improvement.

Volvo's EX30 EV generated the strongest negative reaction, with not a single tester willing to recommend it to friends or family. The compact SUV's complex controls and poor driver monitoring system frustrated users so much that one yelled at the car. Despite impressive acceleration, the vehicle's usability issues overshadowed its performance potential.
