Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell's $50,000 lawsuit against a woman accused of trespassing on his private beach property was dismissed by a Walton County, Fla., judge. The case was thrown out for failing to state a claim, though the couple has 20 days to refile. Littrell and his wife alleged Carolyn Barrington Hill ignored 'no trespassing' signs, invaded privacy, and caused emotional distress.

The judge dismissed the emotional distress claim, noting it cannot be paired with trespassing. BLB Beach Hut LLC, a plaintiff in the suit, was also barred from claiming emotional harm. The couple accused Hill of setting up furniture on their property, videotaping them, and inciting public harassment.

A sheriff's office was named as a defendant for allegedly failing to enforce property rights.
