U.S. stocks advanced, with the Nasdaq Composite gaining 1%, as strong earnings from Amazon provided a boost, offsetting losses in Apple shares. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 276.97 points (0.53%), the S&P 500 rose 0.70%, and the Nasdaq Composite added 1%.

Despite the market gains, long-term Treasury yields continued their ascent due to persistent uncertainty surrounding the Federal Reserve's inflation strategy. The 30-year Treasury yield increased to 5.274%, marking its largest monthly gain since December 2024, while the two-year yield reached 4.289%.

In other markets, the U.S. dollar recovered some of its post-Federal Reserve meeting losses. Gold futures declined by 1.2% to $4049.10 an ounce, while oil prices edged up by 1.29% to $84.67 a barrel. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East remain elevated, with President Trump signaling intent to resume significant military strikes against Iran.
