KKR has teamed up with Nvidia, Vistra and Kuwait Investment Authority to launch Helix Digital Infrastructure, a company targeting the growing demands of AI hyperscalers. The venture has secured more than $10 billion in long-duration capital commitments, positioning it as a major player in the infrastructure space.

Helix will function as a single coordination point for hyperscalers' data centers, power and connectivity requirements. This approach addresses the complex infrastructure challenges that major AI companies like Anthropic, Google and Meta face as they scale operations. The company plans to accept additional institutional investors after closing its founding commitments.

Former Amazon Web Services CEO Adam Selipsky will lead Helix, while KKR's Waldemar Szlezak serves as chief investment officer. Nvidia will contribute its DSX AI factory-aligned infrastructure, and Vistra will handle power supply arrangements.

The partnership reflects intensifying competition among private equity firms to capitalize on AI infrastructure opportunities. With hyperscaler demand climbing rapidly, Helix's integrated model could streamline deployment timelines and reduce coordination costs for clients seeking comprehensive AI-ready facilities.
