President Donald Trump stated that families of service members aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln have no concerns about the aircraft carrier's nearly nine-month deployment supporting operations in the Middle East. "No, they're not," Trump responded when asked about relatives expressing worry over mental health and living conditions. He asserted that the ship's deployment had actually been "not nearly long enough."

This comes as several Democratic lawmakers are demanding answers regarding concerns raised by families about deteriorating living conditions and worsening mental health during the Lincoln's record-breaking deployment. The carrier has been at sea for over 250 days, with sailors and Marines aboard having not made a port call in more than 200 days. The USS George Washington carrier group is scheduled to replace the Lincoln in the Middle East.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth commented that conditions on the Lincoln had been "completely misrepresented," emphasizing the respect and gratitude for sailors serving in austere conditions.
