More Perfect Union, a left-wing media organization led by Bernie Sanders adviser Faiz Shakir, has launched More Perfect University to counter Turning Point USA's influence on college campuses. The initiative aims to build a new generation of progressive campus influencers and win back young voters who shifted toward Republicans in the 2024 election.

More Perfect University will focus on public schools and working-class students, training young content creators to address labor strikes, economic insecurity, and free speech. The program will host in-person events, maintain a Discord presence, and produce content highlighting how corporations "rig the economy against young people." Elise Joshi, former Gen-Z for Change executive director, will lead the effort.

The stakes are significant as Democrats seek to recapture Gen Z voters. Young voters backed Kamala Harris over Donald Trump by just 4 points in 2024, compared to a 25-point margin for Joe Biden in 2020. More Perfect Union reaches 50 million people monthly, with 10% aged 25 or younger, positioning it to become the largest left-of-center campus organization.
