A Turning Point USA Faith Night event in Redding, California drew both supporters and protesters on February 7, 2026. The Simpson University chapter hosted the gathering at the Redding Civic Auditorium, attracting between 900 and 1,000 attendees for a program featuring Gospel messages and testimonies. The event represented a collaboration between the university's Turning Point USA chapter and the organization's faith-based offshoot.

Outside the venue, over 100 protesters demonstrated against the conservative organization's presence in the community. Critics, including some who identified as Christian, argued that Turning Point USA promotes Christian nationalism and right-wing propaganda. Protest organizer Shasta Xposed stated the group chose to protest because they believe the organization "does not represent Christianity as a faith rooted in compassion, humility, and love of neighbor." Kc Knox of Redding told reporters they opposed the group's presence on campuses, claiming it "corrupts the youth with hate and right-wing propaganda."

Evan Jones, president of the Simpson University chapter, defended the event as an opportunity to "see our community here in Redding come together, and to see the spread of the Gospel." The organization, co-founded by political activist Charlie Kirk, maintains at least five chapters in Shasta County, including at Shasta College and Foothill High School. Kirk, who was killed in September 2025 while speaking at Utah Valley University, had been associated with hard-right Christian nationalism by critics including the Southern Poverty Law Center. The Redding protest highlights ongoing tensions surrounding the organization's campus presence and faith-based initiatives.
