Former Employee Sues MrBeast's Company for Harassment, Discrimination

A former executive at Beast Industries filed a federal lawsuit against the company founded by YouTube star MrBeast, accusing leaders of sexual harassment and pregnancy discrimination. Lorrayne Mavromatis, hired in 2022 as head of the company's Instagram team, claims Beast Industries fostered a widespread culture of demeaning female employees.

The suit names MrBeast's cousin James Warren, the former CEO, alleging he made inappropriate comments about her appearance and attempted to arrange private meetings at his home. She claims Warren told her Mr. Donaldson refused to work directly with her because "her appearance had a certain sexual effect" on him. When she complained about a male client's advances, she says Warren told her she should feel flattered.

Mavromatis was demoted after reporting incidents to HR in 2023. When she became pregnant in 2025, the company failed to inform her about maternity leave. She claims she felt compelled to join a work call during labor and worked during her leave. Three weeks after returning, she was terminated despite strong performance and two promotions in her first year.

Beast Industries denies all claims, calling the lawsuit "built on deliberate misinterpretations and categorically false statements." MrBeast, with 479 million YouTube followers, faces another controversy around his Amazon MGM-backed show "Beast Games" with a $5 million prize, which previously faced contestant treatment complaints.
