Aker BP reported fourth-quarter revenue that surpassed analyst expectations, despite a slight dip in production. The company achieved output of 410.6 thousand barrels of oil equivalent (kboe/d), which was about 1% below consensus estimates. This performance is significant as it indicates the company's ability to maintain revenue despite production challenges.

The full-year 2025 production reached 420.1 kboe/d, aligning perfectly with Aker BP's guidance of 410–425 kboe/d. The company's overlift position of 20.8 kboe/d, equivalent to 5% of quarterly output, boosted reported sales volumes and revenue timing. This strategic move helped Aker BP achieve a positive revenue outcome despite lower production.

Analyst Mark Wilson from Jefferies described the update as a “small positive,” emphasizing that the revenue beat was driven by the overlift position. He noted that the implied revenue for the quarter was $2.48 billion, bringing the full-year 2025 revenue to $10.68 billion, which is about 3.5% above consensus expectations.

Investors and analysts are now watching to see if Aker BP can sustain this performance in the coming quarters, particularly as oil and gas prices remain volatile. The company's ability to manage production and revenue will be crucial in maintaining investor confidence.
