[ADDRESS] reported its first confirmed case of the H5 bird flu in a mammal after a long-nosed fur seal died in [ADDRESS]. The carcass was discovered by a member of the public in [ADDRESS], about 300 kilometers (186 miles) south of the state capital, [ADDRESS], on Aug. 19. Tests confirmed the avian influenza strain.
