The Honor Magic9 Pro Max (model WKL-AN20) has appeared in the Geekbench database, revealing key specifications. The prototype is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset and features 16GB of RAM. It runs Android 17, suggesting the device will launch with this version when it becomes official on September 28.

The Geekbench run used version 6.7.1, so results aren't cross-comparable with the latest Geekbench 7. As a prototype, hardware and software may differ from the final product. Other RAM configurations could also be available at launch.

Positioned as the flagship of the Magic9 series, the Pro Max includes an ARRI co-branded camera setup. It sports a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.28" sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto using a 1/1.4" sensor, plus an ultrawide camera. The front features Honor's 3D face unlocking technology, with rumors of a square selfie sensor. The device will debut Magic OS 11, Honor's upcoming software platform.
