Honor Magic9 Pro is set to launch in September, potentially unveiling two models. A tipster claims it could be the first Android smartphone with a square selfie sensor. The device is expected to be powered by the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset and feature a 1:1 square front-facing camera sensor.

The Honor Magic8 Pro previously had a 50MP selfie camera and a TOF 3D sensor. On the rear, the Magic9 Pro is tipped to include a 200MP 1/1.28-inch primary sensor with f/1.57 aperture and 3-degree OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 200MP 1/1.4-inch periscope telephoto sensor. It may also offer ARRI videography features similar to the Honor Robot Phone.

Previous rumors suggested the Oppo Find X10 series might also feature a square selfie sensor, but its launch is reportedly not expected until October.
