Honor launched the Magic 9 Pro Max in China on Sept. 28, spotlighting its ARRI partnership for cinematic features. The phone has a 6.8-inch OLED display with 10,000nits peak brightness, Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, and an 8,800mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging.

The camera system includes two 200MP lenses (main and telephoto) and a 50MP ultra-wide, supported by Honor's Imaging Chip H1. ARRI Image Science enhances capture and color, while Cinema Mode supports 4K 60fps recording. Cinematic Live Video captures three-second moving moments.

Additional features include Stereo Dual 1216 speakers, Magic OS 11 (Android 17) with YOYO AI, and four RAM/storage configs starting at 12/256GB. The phone is available in Shadow Black, Glacier Silver, and Moss Green, starting at RMB 6,499 (~$968).

Honor plans to release the Magic 9 Pro Max in other international markets soon, with an official announcement pending.
