Mohamed Belloumi came off the bench to earn Hull City a 2-2 draw against Everton in a thrilling four-goal second half at the MKM Stadium. Hull led shortly after the break when Joe Gelhardt capitalised on a mistake from Everton's Ainsley Maitland-Niles, chipping past Jordan Pickford in the 49th minute. However, Maitland-Niles quickly atoned with a precise cross for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who nodded in the equaliser — the first goal Hull have conceded at home this season, following a VAR check that ruled out Brennan Johnson's first-half opener for offside.
Everton created numerous chances, with Thierno Barry finally converting in the 68th minute after a well-timed run and finish, assisted again by Dewsbury-Hall. But Hull responded within six minutes, as substitute Belloumi — benched after the international break due to fatigue — fired a low shot past Pickford to level the score. The match saw dramatic moments including a missed tap-in by Barry and a goal-line clearance by James Tarkowski.
Everton manager David Moyes expressed frustration post-match, stating very few players performed at their expected level, despite creating eight big chances. The draw leaves Everton unbeaten, while Hull continue to show resilience at home.
