Bluestone Equity Partners led a $55m growth equity round in Poolhouse, a cue sports platform applying technology-enabled social entertainment to the category. The deal marks the tenth investment from Bluestone's inaugural $350m fund focused on sports, media, and entertainment. Bluestone Partner Walker Brumskine joins Poolhouse's board, with Principal Jake Harris as observer.

The investment targets a market with 200 million weekly players and a $35bn total addressable value. Bobby Sharma, Bluestone's Founder and Managing Partner, noted cue sports' global reach but lack of scaled technology. Poolhouse's Billy Q platform, developed over six years with the Hawk-Eye team, uses precision tracking and projection to add interactive games, automated scoring, and dynamic handicapping to conventional tables.

Founded by Steve and Dave Jolliffe (creators of Topgolf and Puttshack) and CEO Andrew O'Brien, Poolhouse plans to deploy Billy Q across hotels, casinos, pool halls, bars, and homes. The model spans branded locations, licensing, franchising, and direct-to-consumer revenue. Key hires include Steve Lane (ex-Topgolf international) and Paul Hawkins (Hawk-Eye founder).

A flagship venue at Liverpool Street, London is trading, with US expansion planned in New York and Nashville and a franchise agreement with Australia's Signature Hospitality Group. Existing backers include DMG Ventures, Bolt Ventures, Active Partners, Sharp Alpha, and Emerging Fund.
