A BTech student has developed a blockchain-based digital credential verification system to combat the vulnerabilities of traditional paper certificates. The project, built as a Web3 application, issues tamper-proof credentials as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) on the Polygon blockchain. By utilizing Solidity for smart contracts and IPFS for decentralized storage, the system ensures that certificates are immutable and immune to forgery or loss.

The solution addresses the challenges of slow verification and digital sharing, offering instant validation through QR codes. For industries like EdTech and HR, this innovation represents a significant shift toward automated, fraud-proof credentialing, reducing administrative burdens and increasing trust in academic and professional qualifications.
