Sam Costelow and Gabriel Hamer-Webb start for Wales against Scotland at Principality Stadium. Costelow, recalled from Scarlets, makes his first Wales appearance since July 2025. Hamer-Webb, a 25-year-old Leicester wing, earns his maiden Six Nations start after qualifying through his Welsh mother.

Wales also promote Dragons lock Ben Carter and Scarlets flanker Taine Plumtree from the bench, while Scarlets wing Ellis Mee drops out. Aaron Wainwright switches from blind-side flanker to number eight. Wales, having conceded 102 points in two heavy defeats, aims for consistency against Scotland, their last home Six Nations win dating back to 2022. Hamer-Webb becomes the 1,221st Welsh international.
