UK Sport will no longer channel its £12.5m investment in skiing and snowboarding through GB Snowsport. Instead, a new delivery model will be established to support athletes and coaches leading up to the 2030 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. This decision follows Team GB's most successful Winter Olympics, where they secured five medals, including three golds.

Funding grants will continue to be paid directly to athletes, and an independent review into GB Snowsport's governance is planned. UK Sport emphasized its commitment to investing where it can have the "biggest impact" and driving necessary change for athlete success. GB Snowsport expressed disappointment but intends to collaborate with UK Sport, while reserving its rights.

Overall investment in winter sports for the next cycle is over £33m. This increased funding aims to build on recent successes, with significant portions allocated to bobsleigh and skeleton, curling, wheelchair curling, ice skating, and ice hockey. New delivery organizations will manage specific sports' elite programs.
