Ollie Tarvet, Billy Harris and Max Basing secured their places in Wimbledon's main draw, achieving something not seen since 1999. Tarvet, 22, defeated Greece's Stefanos Sakellaridis 6-4 6-2 7-5 to become only the third British player qualifying in consecutive years. After graduating from the University of San Diego, he now claims the full £80,000 first-round prize money as a professional.

Harris, 31, recovered from a poor start to overcome China's Yi Zhou 1-6 7-6 (7-2) 6-2 6-3, while Basing won a thrilling five-setter against Switzerland's Remy Bertola. The trio joins 21 British players in the singles draws, including seeded competitors Cameron Norrie and Emma Raducanu. Former British number one Heather Watson fell 3-6 6-2 6-1 to top seed Maria Timofeeva in the women's qualifying.

Tarvet reflected on his journey, admitting self-imposed pressure hindered his progress after last year's second-round appearance against Carlos Alcaraz. Canada's Bianca Andreescu also qualified, returning to Grand Slam main draw action for the first time since the 2024 US Open following her 6-3 7-6 (7-4) victory over Belarus's Aliaksandra Sasnovich.

The All England Club begins Monday with all British hopefuls learning their first-round opponents Friday. This qualifying success provides a timely boost for British tennis ahead of the Championships.
